"If my people will humble themselves and pray…"

Counting down to National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting all Americans to pray for the nation. It was established as an annual event by a joint resolution of Congress in 1952 and signed into law by President Truman.
This year's observance carries special significance as we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary — a semiquincentennial milestone marking 250 years since 1776. We gather not only as a community of faith, but as grateful citizens of one nation, under God.
Churches from across our region will come together on May 7, 2026 for a unified evening of worship, Scripture, and intercession for our community, our leaders, and our nation.
Local congregations uniting together for one purpose — to pray for our nation.
